DTC is a multidiscipline consulting engineering firm incorporated in the State of Connecticut in 1979 and began as an environmental and infrastructure engineering firm, focusing on government projects throughout the United States. DTC's Corporate Headquarters moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2016.
Since our founding, DTC has put over $5 Billion in buildings and infrastructure in place in the US and abroad. DTC’s projects range from $10,000 minor tenant fit out to $125,000,000 public schools.

Meet the Leaders
Shay Atluru joined DTC in 1991 and created a vision to grow the company from a small engineering firm to a trusted name in sizable construction and design work.
In 2009, under Shay’s leadership, DTC reached a sales record of over $100,000,000. DTC also crossed national borders and began working overseas and in remote locations.
Shay has a B.S. in Engineering and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, and has taken post-graduate studies in law, deconstruction, hazardous waste, and contracts. He sits on many civic and community boards, and truly becomes involved with the communities in which he works, lives, and plays.
After constructing projects in 46 states and 5 countries, Shay currently focuses on local development efforts in the Sarasota community.
Bob is an accomplished and multitalented professional with a strong background in government relations and project management. Bob has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills which has cultivated strong working relationships with elected officials, government executives, and private-sector business leaders.
In addition, he possesses an inherent ability to navigate obstacles to achieve successful implementation and realization of stated goals and objectives, especially in fast-paced construction and zero-error engineering environments. Bob is serving his second term on the Southington, Connecticut Planning & Zoning Commission.
